Registration Process

*At any time, a prospective student has the option to visit any of our campuses. Time is designated each week with our Instructors and/or Career Advisors. You can make your reservation by Contacting Us.


Step 1:
The student completes the online application.

Step 2:
Once the inquiry/application is received by the Registrar, the student will be contacted within 2 business days via phone or email to complete the phone interview and assist with any questions the student may have.

Step 3:
Formal enrollment takes place, which includes the completion of New Student Paperwork and payment agreements. Students may access their agreements by logging into the student portal. Please note: A minimum deposit will be required at the time of enrollment depending on your specific payment agreement. Enrollment is not finalized until all student paperwork and transcripts are received by the Registrar.

Step 4:
Students should immediately request an OFFICIAL copy of their high school transcript or GED AND any COLLEGE transcripts. These documents should be emailed to

*These documents are required to enroll & graduate from this program.

Step 5:
The Registrar or your Instructor will contact you regarding textbooks and other class materials at least one week before class is scheduled to begin.

Program Registration

Before registering, please be sure have the following information ready:

1. Applicant information including a state issued driver’s license or state ID number.
2. Emergency contact information (address, phone, and email)
3. Any medical information NCDU might need to know in order for you to complete your practical training around patients, including doctor contact and applicable medical information.
4. Previous education including high school, GED, or equivalent, and any additional, post-high school education.
5. Access to your email account. The first step in the online application process is to verify your identity by having a password sent to your email.
6. After submitting your application, it will automatically create the minimum payment amount required to reserve your seat in the class ($200 payment for the Dental Assisting program) You do not have to pay this fee immediately and can do so later in our portal once you solidify your final payment arrangement. All CE courses are required to be paid in full at the time of registration.


RETURNING STUDENTS: Using the same student ID issued when you first registered for a course,
log into our student portal, then:

Students who have taken CE Courses through NC Dental U previously:
– Select “My Courses” button to register for additional courses

If you are registering for your FIRST CE Course with NC Dental U and we already have an online application on file for Dental Assisting or Dental Receptionist programs:
– Select: “Want to apply for another course? Please click here.” to submit a new application for CE courses.
